Apologies if this has been discussed previously. Search was unenlightening.
The height of the bow panel is slightly longer -- maybe a strong 1/4" -- than the vertical portion of the bow panel. The manual and the drawings are not clear as to alignment.
Should the bottom point of the bow panel project just beyond the hull bottom panel such that the garboard can lie fair on the bow panel for the plank's entire width? Flush with the bottom of the stem? Flush with the top of the stem?

Okay -
Don't know if this is a kit or from-plans build but the answer will be the same
The bow panel, Bulkhead-1, or bow transom does project below the bottom of the forward vertical portion of the stem piece. 1/4" would be a reasonable estimate. That does permit the garboard plank to make fair and proper contact.
Once the stem and B-1 are in place during construction, be sure to brace them securely to avoid any alignment or stem breakage issues due to inadvertent bodily impact It is a necessity when you are twisting the garboard panels into place!
See photos attached. Hope this helps.

Re: bow panel alignment
It helps a lot. If the bottom of the bow panel projects about a strong 1/4" past the bottom of the stem, that puts the top of the bow panel flush with the top of the stem. Makes sense. Will proceed on that assumption.

Re: bow panel alignment
Thanks, gentlemen...the bow panel has been installed per your recommendations. Now to figure out how to brace the silly thing so I don't snap it off in a freak fit of clumsiness.
