SCAMPers:
My build is really going well right now. Having lots of fun. The hull is close to getting primer and paint. As I sand now, I have a few spots I want to fair a bit more with 410 microlight. It says in the West Systems manuals that it is best to seal the stuff after dry and sanded with another coat of epoxy. Do I really have to do that? Since I am such a beginner I see these defects in the hull a bit late, and have to add some fairing compound late. So, what is the story with fairing with 410?
410 fairing, do I really need to coat again with epoxy?

The reason you need to overcoat fairing compounds and other light weight filler applications is these tend to be hydroscopic. The overcoat will seal them down and harden up the surface a bit too.
