Anyone thinking of selling?

Post by stjoeguy »

I would like to consider buying a used SCAMP. Building one sounds interesting, but I am not sure that I can pull that off. I don't have the funds to consider a new Gig Harbor boat.

Any ideas on finding one?

the Nov/Dec '17 issue of SCA two SCAMPS listed in the classifieds (pages 80&81). one Gig Harbor version on one home build.

if you don't have a copy give Josh at SCA a call - 800-979-1930

Thanks! I am a long time subscriber and found that the Gig Harbor was sold - listed at sailingtexas.com. I was able to contact the builder of Scamp #25. He is 600 miles away and does not use the internet. Waiting for pictures to be mailed to me.

All ideas are welcome!

If you have enough skills to consider building a Scamp but want to save some time and money, consider ordering a partially finished Gig Harbor. You could build your own rig, centerboard, whatever.... we have built several partially completed boats for folks in your situation.

The only caveat to be aware of is that that owner finished Gig Harbor Scamps wont have the quick resale and high value retention of factory finished versions.
