Fellow Scampers,

The link below will show you how I modified the CB rigging lines on Hagoth. Derek gets all the accolades for this mod. I think this mod makes the overall process faster, simpler and safer.

Enjoy:

Nice Work Brent!

You'll be feathering that foil in no time!

Hagoth looks great. Very thought out, well built. Love the blog also, a huge help for other builder behind you.

This up haul has been the reason I've been able to catch up to Dale as he's always ripping along in Luna (him and Keith are DAMN fast). We have put the miles in on the Lower Columbia, Tight sloughs with vegetation and sand bars hidden everywhere. I've been able to quickly raise my foils efficiently, half up for the shoaling sand bar, or all the way up to clear hung up vegetation. Crabbing leeward is acceptable because I'm still maintaining hull speed. With the hull speed up I can push through my next tack. Repeat that 20 more times and we're out in the channel. :D

Adjusting uphaul, changing body placement for ballast, trimming sail, and helming can be performed all at once with this set up.

Here's a picture Dale took on our most reason Columbia River sleigh ride. Centerboard is up for sure!
