I don't know where to post this, so I'll try here for some discussion.
"While not quite ‘one-off’ customs, Dave Autry’s creations must be numbered among the rarest production boats ever manufactured. Dave’s company, Bluewater Boatworks of Amarillo Texas, molded only 82 Blackwatch hulls between 1979 and 1981. The majority of these were cutters, but at least one was rigged as a gaff-cat"
I'm the fortunate owner of BIOPHILIA.net. Full keel draws 24", sweet hull of the type Winslow Homer depicted in his painting THE GULF STREAM. Well that's how I feel about it! No compression post for the mast and no centerboard housing leaves substantial space in this wide fast little hull. As you will see in these two videos, she drives through the chop not bouncing along on top of it. I'll be 84 this month and sadly I'm slowing down. So here's a fully equipped and then some, a beautiful gaff cat.

Thanks, I love the sight of these old style boats. Lovely boat to be sure.

They are a pretty boat, I always thought they were a catboat adapted to a be a cutter, not the other way around.
