Day 56

Post by wdscobie »

I and my cat, Momma Kitty, are 56 days into living on my 17' Montgomery until ... well ... I don't know.

some photos from the last couple of days -

* crossing Boundary Pass from Stuart Island to Canada's Gulf Islands in 2-4'
seas and wind 15-20 kts (sorry that the mains luff is so ugly ... I didn't do a good job of setting the tension while putting in the reef):

* avoiding 'big boats' during the crossing:

Nice! Don't worry about the luff! I bet it sails as good as always anyway! ;)

Wow oh wow!

Please say you're a 1/2 decent (at least) writer and working on an article or two for SCA...

Wow indeed. I'm sure I'd need a chiropractor and counseling after 56 days in a 17 foot boat!

Hope your adventure brings joy and satisfaction.

makes me wonder how long I could survive in my 23 foot sea sprite.. though I bet your M17 has more cabin space.
