Forida sailing video

Post by Bchrovers »

This past weekend I joined the West Coast Trailer Sailor Squadron on a trip to the 10,000 islands. (That's Florida's "West Coast"). This is a video of my trip. It was a great trip and I sailed a total 78 miles.

Thanks, Marty. Looks like a great time - I was sitting in my almost completed Scamp in the shop this evening imagining trips like this!

But here in MN we expect -13F tonight, and it will be a while before the water gets soft again...

Actually as I was posting I was thinking - is this something nice to do while others are dealing with crazy winter conditions? I ended up deciding it's better to have something to look forward to.

The other option is you guys take a trip south for some nice winter sailing! Conditions are great and there are so many sailing locations.

Or you could all go to Florida in March first full week, which is March 7 this year, and support the Watertribe and Scamp because I see that Fat Bottom Girl will be entering again. I plan to be there and it is USUALLY warm in March. Or go to Cedar Key or some of the other many boating events along the Florida Panhandle.

Way to go Marty! Keep those videos coming. I love looking at all that warmth - sun, air, water, and friends.

Hey Marty,

Thanks for the video. It reminds me that that there's more to life than just building boats – actually sailing them! Are you going to Cedar Key? I hope to see you there.
