Any SCAMPs in the Chesapeake area?

Post by supertech »

I'm casting about for a boat to build and the SCAMP appeals greatly. I'm wondering if there's one either completed or underway in the Chesapeake Bay area? I live just North of DC and would love to see one up close...

It looks like five kits or sets of plans have been sold to builders in your area, but I don't recall hearing from any of them on this forum. You might ask SCA if they would be willing to distribute your contact info to those individuals. Here is the zoomable worldwide SCAMP Community map, which they update periodically:

I live in Annapolis.I will be getting a Gig Harbor FRP Scamp late summer or fall and you are welcome to come look at it or go for a sail.
