Although interesting and exciting and a little suicidal, circumnavigating the earth, non-stop, in a ten foot boat does not sound like a FUN project to me!

Gave Rimas a ride into Astoria this morning (11ish PDT) He was hitchhiking in to visit a friend.

We chatted on the way (about 5 miles) and I was impressed with his manner, determination and drive.

I'm about 15 years his senior, and he was a delight to converse with and I wish him luck. The article says he found a 'used 24' but he kept saying a 26. I don't know who's right and I don't care.

I just wonder if a Kickstarter program would benefit him.

Yes, both options would keep the cabin clear as well, but I prefer the off-set option (for now) from an operational point of view.

great blog Kees, just caught up reading your activities since you left saucilito
Keep up with your writing and discovering faces those great pics you take
Love your new design, would Lee boards work ? or two centre boards one aft one forward of the cabin ( great for balancing) both would clear the cabin of a trunk
regards Richard

Has anyone found a more recent update on how Sven's plans are going? The linked to article is also from a while ago?
