What Are Your Plans?

Have any new sailing spots on your radar this season? I'd like to hit Lake Ozette. Seems sort of remote, plenty scenic and there are little islands and things to check out. Looks like minicruiser heaven.—JC

My family and I used to hike from Lake Ozette out to Point of the Arches on the coast. Back in the 60's this was a very remote part of Washington with almost no other people. At the start of one of these trips we met a couple sailing a canoe on Lake Ozette.

A buddy and I are doing a ten day sail in North Carolina from Engelhard to New Bern with stops in Bath and Oriental. We'll be on Spartina, my home built John Welsford Pathfinder. Just for kicks I'm doing the planning and organizing on a blog. You can see it at " logofspartina.blogspot.com/ "

JC,
I've been eyeing the same piece of water for a couple years. I've got an M15 I'd like to drop in that lake and have a trip out of it. My daughter will be 4 this summer. I may take her with me (or not). I'm in Hood River, OR. Want to organize a trip?

I'd definitely be game to meet up with a few other small boats. Just not sure when--I've got several trips on the calendar already this summer. Maybe early June or late July could work. Let me know your thoughts.

JC,
Last half of July would be fine. The lake should be about as warm as it's going to get. Two to four boats would be great, or ? With lead time I can plan on weekdays or weekends as I'm self-employed :) You can reach me off blog by email. - cheers.
