As those of you who’ve read the latest issue (#75) know, our friend Kees Prins is doing what most of us have only dreamt of doing, he’s setting off on a cross-country trailersailing voyage. We believe he’s on his way just now, heading south down to the Oregon coast. Look for the first of his series of blog posts here soon.
If you’d like to meet Kees, invite him to sail in company or at a small-boat event, etc. or just suggest a destination, send us an e-mail (smallcraftadvisor@earthlink.net) or post your thoughts in the comments at this blog. Kees begint het al wat te wennen na je eerste week? Het off the grid overnachten?
Wat zijn dat voor plaatsen gemiddeld?
Wij zijn nog steeds druk bezig met het opknappen van de woning voor Sanne en Laura. Maar goed ook dat we dat klusje hebben want het weer hier is bijzonder matig.
Maandag is het koninginnendag hier. Dat betekend dat er een half miljoen mensen naar Amsterdam komen. Er is dan veel te doen waar onder de hele dag vrijmarkt op de straten.

Ik zie dat de moderator mijn bericht een tijdje vasthoudt om het te controleren.
Waarschijnlijk omdat het Nederlands is zal hem dat niet lukken.
Je zult wel veel berichten in het Nederlands krijgen. Vraag hem even hoe dit gaat lopen.
He could park his rig in my side yard in St. Augustine, Florida. He might want to check out the birdwing masts that I’ve built and my SCAMP build. My masts are similar to some radically curved masts that I believe he built for a Dutch family raid boat quite a few years ago. Thanks for the offer. I hope I make it that far, but that will be a while. Yes I build those crazy curved masts for Time & Tide about 15 years back. The original wooden ones broke after a few years after which he had carbon fiber ones made that are doing fine. The wooden ones had a weak point at the goose neck where a lot of forces concentrated.

Eidenlijk begonnen aan de droom die je al zolang hebt.
Nu kan ik geen broertje meer zeggen, vond ik altijd leuk. Zo’n
prachtige reis voor de boeg, en wat zal je allemaal tegenkomen, moeten
overwinnen, zoals gaan zeilen op vreemd water met een behoorlijke
windkracht. Wauw, ik hoop dat je het al hebt gedaan, dan ben je er
maar doorheen.
ik ben heel benieuwd naar je verslagen en foto’s, maar ga nu niet te
veel tijd achter de computer doorbrengen.
