Little Glass Scamps

We received a neat gift from some good friends last week—several stained glass Scamp ornaments. The hand-crafted replicas came in assorted colors and each features a curved sail. Apparently the artisan builders—Don and Kathy Hardy of Ships of Glass, use old beer bottles and such for the curved glass. My friend says he offered them an almost endless supply of empty beer bottles from his personal collection in trade, but they politely declined. Fortunately these little gems are surprisingly inexpensive. —Eds
